We bring proof for Rabbi Yehuda that the heichal and oolam had separate 'degrees of kedusha' and therefore there is no height restriction for a mavoi from the pasuk "El Petach Oolam Habayit." Tosfot notes that this pasuk does not appear anywhere. He answers that there are two pesukim that are next to each other that have those words in them.

Someone in my shiur asked that the pesukim come from Yechezkel, so how can we bring a proof from the third Beit Hamikdash?

I'm wondering if its even a question? Why not? If it is going to be ok to have that kind of doorway in the third beit hamikdash, why not now? Any thoughts?
