Mazel tov, Mazel tov, this is amazing, may this be a good beginning -- what took you so long to launch it???
At first I'm sure this will only be a glorified version of adielly.commy but hopefully as it gets more exposure it will be an adult version of frumteens.com... the world needed this... I was tired of being an adult on FT.com

ditto that - the mod changed my life to!
my, my, its amazing how many topshots and long-timers at frumteens already have accounts here. i heard a rumor that the mod has or will soon be getting and account here. there is a big diff. between the sites, though. i can post all types of stuff here that i cant there. so this is like a liberal frumteens.

i set up this forum in a way where everyone can answer (and ask) hashkafah questions without hearing the one sided opinion of a single rebbi. the boards are only moderated to prevent people from bad mouth and flaming others. but in general its a free for all when you WANT to hear different viewpoints.

It's instructive (I'm not a frumteens fan, and didn't realize h.com was designed as a spin-off.
Who would want an adult version of frumteens anyway? Isn't that a contradiction in terms?
I actually wish there was an universal, Jewish board with a little more edge, a little more drive.

Seems so...it wouldn't save bandwidth anyway, because no one reads those threads anymore (well unless they're bumped up

).
Maybe saving hard drive space (they all must sit in the db), but hd space is cheap these days.

Mr. Bump presents the “board” that was…
As the fate of Hashkafah.com lies in the balance we take a look back at posts that made us think, debate, solve problems, laugh, and cry, but mostly get annoyed in the process…or more accurately get the moderators annoyed. What lies ahead for this once proud site is still unknown, but for now we look back at its cherished and distinguished history. Join us for this 32 part series – but remember quality programming like this is made possible only by support from viewers like you. So go on. At the bottom of the screen is a donate button – click it and you are investing is our future and making our planet a better place to be for our children.
With out further ado we present:Part I: Humble BeginningsThe very first post seems to have been a test post and was deleted. This is second post and oldest post on record. As you can see, forums being born out of people fed up with old forums seems to have always been the Jewish way… Along with bumping old posts… [Next time on Mr. Bump Presents the “Board” That Was we take a look at H.com's very first look at shidduch dating…]
