Full Version: Why Hitler Hated Jews (and Why This Is Important For Jews To Know)

Essay on One Foot: hitler mainly hated Jews because he sought to eradicate morality and viewed Jews as the sole epitome of morality. Maybe he was right.

The following essay is a more detailed treatment of topics covered in Aish HaTorah’s “Why the Jews” seminar and Chapter 12 of Dennis Prager and Joseph Telushkin’s book “Why the Jews.”

hitler's public persona (i.e. his book and speeches) has typically been the focus of historians seeking to explain his views. However, regarding certain subjects, hitler revealed to the general public only those views he wanted them to hear. These "public" views were significantly different from and often contradicted his firmly held beliefs, which he only revealed to members of his inner circle. We know this to be the case because we have records of his private conversations that emphatically contradict his public statements. In these conversations, hitler often explains why he intentionally misleads the public about his outlook.

For example, it is widely-accepted that hitler was a German nationalist, hence the name "National Socialism." Yet, privately hitler revealed:

“The conception of the nation has become meaningless. The conditions of the time compelled me to begin on the basis of that conception. But I realized from the first that it could only have transient validity. The 'nation' is a political expedient of democracy and Liberalism. We have to get rid of this false conception and set in its place the conception of race. The new order cannot be conceived in terms of the national boundaries of the peoples with an historic past, but in terms of race that transcend those boundaries. All the adjustments and corrections of frontiers, and of regions of colonization, are a plowing of the sands.”[1]

“Germany as it is today is not a biological unit. It will be Germany only when it is Europe as well…Germany is Europe.”[2]

In other words, hitler believed all Aryans were equal, regardless of whether they were British or Swedish. He only labeled his movement "National Socialism" instead of the more accurate title of "Racial Socialism" because he understood that the latter term would not garner as much public support as the former.

The reasons hitler publicly gave for hating the Jews were also "sanitized" for what the public wanted and could bear to hear. hitler's true reasons for hating Jews logically follow from his ideology.

hitler's Ideology

During hitler's life, scientists believed that humans gradually evolved from single-celled organisms.[3] Accepting this conclusion hitler posed the same questions that scientists sought to answer:

1) What caused single-celled organisms to evolve into man?

2) Is man the final product of evolution or just a single stage in the process?

hitler concluded that war and constant fighting among living things for survival was responsible for evolution. Humans were simply a stage in the evolutionary process, whose own evolution had been stunted because they had ceased to perpetuate constant war within mankind. Only by returning to an animal-like existence, in which most people would be killed and only the "fittest" survived, would humans reverse their stunted evolution. Eventually the "fittest" would evolve into gods (in a completely literal sense).

As he explained:

“After all these centuries of whining about protection of the poor and lowly, it is about time we decided to protect the strong against the inferior.”[4]

“Nature is cruel, therefore we, too, may be cruel.”[5]

“Natural instincts bid all living things not merely conquer their enemies, but also destroy them.”[6]

“In a natural order, the classes are peoples superimposed on one another in strata, instead of living as neighbors. To this order we shall return as soon as the aftereffects of liberalism have been removed.”[7]

“In my Order a youth will grow up before which the world will shrink back. A violently active, dominating, intrepid, brutal youth-that is what I am after...I want to see once more in its eyes the gleam of pride and independence of the beast of prey...Strong and handsome must my young men be. In this way I shall eradicate the thousands of years of human domestication. Then I shall have in front of me the pure and noble natural material. With that I can create the new order...Out of it comes the stage of the free man,...the god-man.”[8]

“We do not seek equality, but mastery.”[9]

“There is no peace…War is life…War is the origin of all things.”[10]

“We are motion itself, we are eternal revolution.”[11]

“Yes, we are barbarians! We want to be barbarians! It is an honorable title. We shall rejuvenate the world!”[12]

“Creation is not yet at an end...not so far as the creature Man is concerned....A new variety of man is beginning to separate out....A mutation...Man is becoming God - that is a simple fact. Man is God in the making.”[13]

“We don't want people who keep one eye on the life in the hereafter. We need free men who feel and know that God is in themselves.”[14]

hitler conceived of God as a being who had evolved quicker than humans by cherishing war and dominating other creatures. In his view, such a God would value violence, brutality, and war since these are the methods He utilized to become God. Additionally, this God might have sought to avoid competition from humans, who stand to become future gods themselves, by stunting their evolution. To do so, He gave the Ten Commandments and moral law to the world.

Why hitler Hated Jews

Contrary to his public statements and modern public opinion, hitler did not hate Jews because they were "subhuman", "scum" or for any other similar reason. Privately, hitler stated:

“I set the Aryan and the Jew against each other; and if I call one of them a human being I must call the other something else. The two are as widely separated as man and beast. Not that I would call the Jew a beast. He is much further from the beasts than we Aryans. He is a creature outside nature.”[15]

“There cannot be two Chosen People. We are God’s People.”[16]

Why then did hitler hate Jews? Because they were the embodiment of their religion, which stood ideologically opposed to what hitler most sought to accomplish. hitler explains his goals…

“Providence has ordained that I should be the greatest liberator of humanity. I am freeing men from...the dirty and degrading self-mortifications of a chimera called conscience and morality, and from the demands of a freedom and personal independence which only a very few can bear.”[17]

“We must regain our clear conscience as to ruthlessness. Only thus shall we purge our people of their softness and sentimental philistinism.”[18]

“We must distrust the intelligence and the conscience, and must place our trust in our instincts.”[19]

“I have no scruples.”[20]

“Where should we be if we had formal scruples? I simply disregard these things.”[21]

“Unless you are prepared to be pitiless, you will get nowhere.”[22]

“I need men who will not stop to think if they’re ordered to knock someone down! I don’t care a tinker’s darn if they knock down something on their own account as well.”[23]

…what the Jews stood for…

“Conscience is a Jewish invention. It is a blemish, like circumcision.”[24]

“But for our people it is decisive whether they acknowledge the Jewish Christ-creed with its effeminate pity-ethics, or a strong, heroic belief in God in Nature. God in our own people, in our destiny, in our blood.”[25]

…and why each Jew was a threat.

“The struggle for world domination will be fought entirely between us, between Germans and Jews. All else is facade and illusion.”[26]

“If even one Jewish child survives, without any Jewish education, with no synagogue and no Hebrew school – it is in his soul.”[27]

“Even had there never existed a synagogue or a Jewish school or the Old Testament, the Jewish spirit would still exist and would exert its influence. It has been there from the beginning, and there is no Jew – not a single one – who does not personify it.”[28]

“The internal cleansing of the Jewish spirit is not possible in any platonic way. For the Jewish spirit is the product of the Jewish person. Unless we expel the Jewish people soon, they will "Judaize" our own people within a very short time.”[29]

hitler's confidante, Herman Rauschning, concluded:

“The intensity of his [hitler's] anti-Semitism can only be explained by his inflation of the Jew into a mythical prototype of kindness.”[30]

Rauschning regarded hitler's beliefs about the Jewish contribution to morality and kindness as exaggerated, but were they really?

Why hitler Did Not Hate Christians

If Christianity shares a "Judeo-Christian ethic" with Judaism, it would seem that hitler should have hated Christians as much as Jews for adhering to a moral code. Yet, relatively few Christians were sent to concentration camps or murdered for their beliefs (other than Jehovah's Witnesses). Why did hitler distinguish between Jews and Christians? He explains:

“Do you really believe the masses will be Christian again? Nonsense! Never again. The tale is finished. No one will listen to it again. But we can hasten matters. The parsons will be made to dig their own graves. They will betray their God to us. They will betray anything for the sake of their miserable little jobs and incomes.”[31]

“I promise you...I could destroy the Church in a few years...We should trap the priests by their notorious greed and self-indulgence....They will swallow anything in order to keep their material advantages.”[32]

“The peasant shall learn to hate the Church…we shall wash off the Christian veneer.”[33]

“One is either a German or a Christian, you cannot be both.”[34]

In other words, because the priests and parsons were inherently immoral and without Christian convictions, their lives could be spared. The "Judeo-Christian ethic" was not firmly held by the Christian laity, either. Therefore, only the passage of time was necessary for Christianity to dissolve.

Why hitler Hated Male Homosexuals and Communists

Male homosexuality is considered immoral by all of the major monotheistic religions and communism does not acknowledge the existence of absolute moral law by virtue of its atheism. Therefore, some may question why, if hitler hated Jews because they embodied morality, he also hated male homosexuals and Communists, who seem to embody its opposite.

hitler’s persecution of homosexuals had nothing to do with morality. As explained above, hitler wanted humanity to evolve quickly until they became superhuman gods. He viewed Aryans as being the most capable of achieving this goal. However, evolution requires procreation. A man who has “pure German blood” and does not procreate is useless at best and a traitor at worst. However, a woman who is homosexual still has a desire to have children. Therefore, with few exceptions, only male homosexuals were persecuted. hitler also disliked effeminate male homosexuals (i.e. femmes) because they embodied the opposite of the ruthless, brave warriors he sought to create. Moreover, by being integrated with the general population, homosexuals could influence others to be homosexual as well. This is why primarily those who were known to be homosexuals were sent to concentration camps. Their failure to hide their homosexuality made hitler worry about their ability to influence others to do likewise. Homosexuals who hid their sexual orientation were not viewed as threats and sent to concentration camps. Therefore, there was no concentrated campaign to ensure everyone was heterosexual, as there was to ensure that Nazi-occupied lands were free of Jews.

In light of these reasons, some may question why hitler tolerated homosexuality among some of his top brass. The fact is that virtually all of these Nazis were bisexual rather than homosexual. They almost all had wives and children. Since they were procreating as expected of them, were not effeminate, had no interest in influencing others to be homosexual, and were sufficiently ruthless and brave to attain their high positions, they were not perceived as a threat and left alone.

While publicly hitler railed against all communists, privately he distinguished between Marxists, whom he hated, and Communists, whom he did not hate. Marxists idealistically believed in economic and social equality for all. Although, Marxists did not believe in God, they espoused a moral view that was diametrically opposed to the Nazi view of: “I should harm others because I can. Their weakness justifies it.” Communists, however, were not idealistic at all and simply used Communism as a means to attain power and control the masses. In hitler’s view, Stalin was a prime example of a Communist. Therefore, hitler liked Stalin and others like him and envisioned such Communists as future Nazis. Unfortunately, since he viewed most Soviets as ideological Marxists, for supporting Communism even though it did not give them control over anyone, they had to be exterminated.

Public vs. Private Statements

The distinction hitler made between Jews and Christians revolved around their commitment to morality. Many Christians however, would have been insulted, had hitler publicly complemented them about their immorality. Therefore, he did not make such statements in public.

Similarly, the Christian public would have been much less likely to support hitler's Final Solution if he were to have publicly declared:

“We must annihilate the Jews in order to destroy the ideas of God and morality from our midst - along with Christianity.”

Therefore, hitler had to convince the public to believe that the Jews were "subhuman" and needed to be eradicated like a cancer for reasons unrelated to their beliefs.

Lunaphobia, Vegetarianism, and Fresh Flowers

hitler had certain known quirks. He was an avowed vegetarian, tended to be friendly towards animals and abusive towards people (especially women) he was close with (e.g. Eva Braun and Geli Raubal), hated fresh flowers, and was afraid of the moon. Interestingly, all of these peculiarities can be explained in light of his ideology.

hitler respected animals more than humans and refused to eat them because he viewed their lifestyle as a prerequisite for evolution. Animals were improving their lot, whereas humans' growth was stunted due to domestication.

Since he believed that evolution occurred in humans when they were brutal with each other, and not necessarily when they were brutal towards other species, his vegetarianism was consistent with his ideology. It is also no coincidence that hitler tended to be more abusive to women than to men, since women embodied the kindness he sought to eradicate.

Like women, fresh flowers represent softness and sentimentality. This is why they were hated by hitler.

Since hitler respected strength, it would be logical for him to identify with the larger, more powerful celestial orb (i.e., the sun) and to view the moon, which only reflects the sun's light as inferior. It is also possible that hitler was aware that Jews identified with the moon, which like them, always seems like it will permanently disappear but never does. Additionally, just as the moon represents a flicker of light in an otherwise dark world, the Jews seek to civilize an otherwise immoral world by spreading ethical monotheism.[35]

Why it Matters

hitler understood what Judaism stands for all too well (even better than some Jews). His evil lay in his response to this knowledge.

Simply by being alive, each Jew is a witness that the Main Event - the revelation of God on Mount Sinai - occurred, and continues an uninterrupted chain of corroborating testimony stretching back to the Main Event. For if the Main Event were just a myth, it would means that approximately 3,000,000 people colluded to lie to their children and to accept on themselves and their descendents numerous restrictions without any logical motive. Since it is well-established that parents seek the best for their children and rarely lie to them (especially not about something this important), why would so many people seek to encumber their children's lives with so many seemingly arbitrary restrictions?

At the Main Event, God designated the Jews as role models to humanity.

Why couldn't God have created a world without role models where everyone was equal? He did! However, this world without role models culminated with Noah's generation (which conducted itself not unlike how hitler conceived of for the New World Order that he sought to establish), and which brought God infinitesimally close to destroying all life.

Since Noah's generation, humanity as a whole, never returned to such a decadent state because of the gradual spread of ethical monotheism by Jews. hitler realized that the Jews were the foremost obstacle to his New World Order, and this is why he needed to eliminate them.

hitler was not the first to hate the Jews because of their moral influence. Underlying virtually all anti-Semitism is the desire to rebel against morality. Not all anti-Semites are as sophisticated as hitler that they understand this as their ultimate drive, but it is there nonetheless. For example, Christian anti-Semitism is not only due to the unwillingness of Jews, who were best acquainted with the messiah's intended mission, to accept Jesus as the messiah, thereby declaring Christianity to be false. A primary difference between Judaism and Christianity is the latter's assertion that God became resigned to the fact that all humans are immoral, and sent Jesus to atone for humanity's future sins so that that they could continue to be immoral, but now do so with a clear conscience.

In this way, Christianity and Nazism sought to accomplish similar goals. Nazism only picked up where Christianity left off and sought to eliminate morality on a much larger scale. However, both hate Jews for standing in their way of eliminating morality.

Other forms of anti-Semitism can be explained in a similar fashion.

If everyone hates Jews because they are more moral, then maybe this is because they actually are (or at least strive to be). If it can be agreed upon that the true religion's adherents should be the most moral, then by that criterion, Judaism is the correct religion.

We can take comfort in knowing that as the most significant participants in God's Master Plan, our historic mission and its resultant persecution has been divinely-ordained. Our spread of ethical monotheism to two-thirds of humankind and humankind's identification of Jews with morality, may even be indicative of a successful mission.

Didn't read the whole thing (of course, I have better things to do with my time.) However, I don't seem to see anything new here. You write very naively. There are terms such as social darwinist that can be explained better.

G-d could have easily stopped him had he wanted to (that is not to in any way imply that he was not a Rasha and won't be punished for his actions)...... Nor is it the first time that a "melech like Haman" was sent to oppress the Jewish People.

G-d even goes so far as to call Nebechadnezer who was more than slightly worse than Hitler "Avdi" His servant. Definitely something to think about.

As I've said many times before G-d is not Santa Claus.......

Excellent piece! Very well done! I enjoyed reading it. (Incidentally “RebPropagandist” remarks only indicate the accuracy of the essay.)

Question: If hitler, yamach shemo, knew the “Main Event” occurred – and that G-d was real as were the Chosen People – how did he ever expect he would succeed in his mission? Well, did he even expect he would succeed?
HeiligerYid
Jews might well be the embodiment of morality-but I believe G-d wanted us to keep that morality to ourselves. Our crime-for which we were punished was actually spreading that morality to the Goyim-all for the sake of a few shkalim and a bit of glory.

There were actually 9 assasination attempts against Hitler, the most well-known being Count Von Stauffenberg's attempt in July, 1944. All failed. So, what you're saying here, I basically agree with.

That part I have to disagree with. I've never bought into the idea that non-Jews as a whole are meant to automatically hate Jews and have nothing better to do with their time than think of anti-semitic acts. Anti-semites typically hate other people too. The Nazis didn't have a high regard for Gypsies either.

I'm glad you enjoyed the essay. You ask an important question that seems centered on the following paragraph from my essay:

"hitler conceived of God as a being who had evolved quicker than humans by cherishing war and dominating other creatures. In his view, such a God would value violence, brutality, and war since these are the methods He utilized to become God. Additionally, this God might have sought to avoid competition from humans, who stand to become future gods themselves, by stunting their evolution. To do so, He gave the Ten Commandments and moral law to the world."

While I'm very comfortable hitler believed in the first two sentences, I am less sure he believed in the next two (which is why I use the word "might have"). Assuming he only believed in the first two , the answer may be that he believed the Jews chose themselves to epitomize morality without a divine revelation having taken place. Assuming he also believed that God gave the Ten Commandments, this doesn't mean that God also made them His "chosen people" and continued to offer them protection. The best way to find out if He did would be to try to anhihilate them. If hitler "succeeded" he could prove to the world that God had violated His biblical oath that the Jews would be eternal. Therefore, the Bible was false and absolute morality a sham.

Finally, even a partial destruction of the Jews would be a "success" for hitler, since there would be fewer people to attest to the divine revelation (whether or not hitler believed it occurred) and spread morality in the world. This may be why he focused more on murdering Orthodox Jews than non-Orthodox Jews.

The Orthodox were easier targets. They often dressed differently (e.g. Hasidim), spoke Yiddish, or in Greece, Ladino, not the language of the surrounding people, and lived in separate communities/neighborhoods. Assimilated Jews, by contrast, had more outside connections who could help them hide or escape and also could blend in with the surrounding populace better. A lot of assimilated Jews were still killed, but they had a better chance of surviving.

I don't have exact numbers but the death toll in churban bayis rishon was certainly in the millions, not to mention that all the Jews were exiled from EY and the Beis Hamikdash destroyed.
Read the stories about the "sar hatabachim" Nebuzedran, and it will not sound exceedingly different from the brutality of the Nazis.

Acc. to Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_population at around 1000 BCE the Jewish population was up to 5,000,000. According to the Jewish Agency Jewish Agency it was 2,000,000. Since these figures include the Lost Tribes it is difficult to believe that Nebuchadnezar murdered over six million Judeans 400 years later. Something like that would have been mentioned in Tanach. This is significant because if the Germans/Austrians aren't Amalek, then they're worse than Amalek.

Okay, guys, lets make it simple, ,Germany after WWI was defated and humiliated, they needed a Saviour and a scapegoat, Hitler realized it and became their saviour and found a scapegoat, which fullfilled his undying hatred for the Jewish nation. Don't think it was all ideology, Hitler's mother died of cancer and the doctor treating her was Jewish, a landlord threw them out who was Jewish, all of this and having an abusive father, who was illegitimate, to boot, caused the hatred to fester inside of him!

As of the question of G-D in the holocaust, all I can say is look in my grandfathers eyes, (He is 85 and still crying over the 3 Mill Polish Jews and of yesterworld!) he always talks about the Nisism (miracles!) that occured in the Ghetto, Auschwitz, Bergen Belsen etc!

As for the Destruction of the first Temple, don't think that 6 mill were annihilated, but realatively, in percentage of the Jewish population it must have been the same, or worse!

this is why Hitler wanted to kill Jews:

Hitler addressed the world at the passion plays of Oberammergau in 1942

He said: "his blood be on us and our children... [Matt 27:25], maybe
I’m the one who must execute this curse... I do no more than join
what has been done for more than 1,500 years already. Maybe I render
Christianity the best service ever!” (Adolph Hitler)

By destroying the Jews, I am fighting Christ’s battles” is a quote from Hitler in Mein Kampf. Mein Kampf would be the best source for finding anti-Jewish statements made by Hitler.

HITLER HAD IT EASY IN CHRISTIAN GERMANY

Shmuel Golding

The following quotations from ‘Millennium Fever’ concerning Hitler and the Nazis are all covered below.

According to the Encyclopedia Britannica, Protestants constituted 49% of the German Christians, Catholics about 45%. Luther urged that Jews must be driven out of all Christian countries (The Jews and their Lies by Martin Luther).

“By destroying the Jews, I am fighting Christ’s battles” is a quote from Hitler in Mein Kampf. Mein Kampf would be the best source for finding anti-Jewish statements made by Hitler.

I saw a video docudrama on the Nuremberg trials. One of the Nazi henchmen emotionally declared that Luther if alive today should be on trial with us. I don’t recall the name of the one who said this.

The following quotations from my research, which were later published in my latest book Millennium Fever, may be of some use to you.

....Paul Althaus, a Lutheran theologian of renown in Germany, warmly greeted the rise of Hitler. He wrote that, “The Protestant churches have greeted the political turning point as a gift and miracle of God”... (‘Die deutsche Stunde der Kirche’, p.5)

Many times Althaus explained to Christians his preference for the Third Reich over the former Weimar Republic. “We Christians know,” he stated, “that we are bound by God’s will to the promotion of National Socialism, so that all members of the people will be ready for service and sacrifice.” (‘Kirche and Staat’, p. 29)

In a document signed by many Christian theologians it was stated, “We as believing Christians thank God our Father that he has given to our people in its time of need the Fuhrer as a pious and faithful sovereign, and that he wants to prepare for us in the National Socialist system of government, good rule, a government with discipline and honor. Accordingly, we know that we are responsible before God to assist the work of the Fuhrer in our calling and in our station in life.” (‘Ansbacher Ratschlag’, p. 145)

Another high ranking Christian theologian, Leutheuser, believed that the Holy Spirit moves where it chooses, and stated that, “more spirit of religion has come to Germans through Hitler, than through many of the churches.” (Julius Leutheuser. ‘Die deutsche Christusgemeinde’, p. 18,19)

This same Christian leader asserts that “Germany has been given a mission from God. The leader and prophet is Adolf Hitler.” (SiegfriedLeffer. ‘Christus im Drittem Reich der Deutschen’, p. 13-18)

The Vatican under Pope Pius XII made a Concordat of collaboration with National Socialism. Hitler’s portrait was placed on all walls of Catholic churches and Sunday schools. Church bells were rang at every Nazi victory, including the arrest and transportation of the last Jew from every town in Germany. The Roman Catholic Church never protested against Hitler’s barbarism including the massacre of a million and a half Jewish children.. (Dictionary of Antisemitism, p. 43)

At a Church conference, Hitler affirmed that the Catholic Church has always regarded Jews as evildoers and had banished them into ghettos. He (Hitler) is only doing what the Church had been doing for fifteen hundred years. (ibid, p. 79)

In fact the Catholic youth organization of Germany was combined with the Hitler youth following the signing of the Concordat of Collaboration sponsored by Msgr. Pacelli later to become Pope Pius XII. Together they sang the Horstwessel Lied in the church vestries “Wenn das Judenblut vom Messer spritzed”. (‘When Jewish blood runs off the dagger’, ibid, p. 109)

In a speech to Polish Catholics, Hitler declared: “I, as a German Catholic, ask only what is permitted to Polish Catholics. To be antisemitic is not to be un-Catholic. The Church used every weapon against the Jews, even the Inquisition. Christ himself was a pioneer in the fight against Judaism.” (ibid, p. 146)

An interesting quotation appears in the Encyclopedia Britannica under ‘German Christians’:

“Protestants who attempted to subordinate church policy to the political exigencies of Nazi Germany. The German Christians’ Faith Movement, organized in 1932, was nationalistic and so anti-Semitic that extremists wished to repudiate the Old Testament and the Pauline Letters because of their Jewish authorship. In July 1933 the state territorial churches merged to form the German Evangelical Church, and in September the German Christian candidate, Ludwig Muller, became Reichsbishop. Muller’s efforts to make the church an instrument of Nazi policy were resisted by the Confessing Church, under the leadership of Martin Niemoller. After World War II the German Christian Church party was banned.”

PS:

What was the common denominator in Christian Germany?

Answer: The Christian Bible, their New Testament.

I haven't read everything posted. My understanding is that Hitler had a false social darwinian hierarchy of nations. The Jews were the lowest and seen as germs so he felt he should kill them. It wasn't a Yoshka killing thing. Hitler wasn't even religious. He may have said Yoshka stuff at the Passion Play Sefardic Male quoted but I see that as just meant for public consumption.

?? Where does this interpretation of Christianity comes from?

And what with Nazi racist ideas about other people, for example Slavs?

QUOTE
Underlying virtually all anti-Semitism is the desire to rebel against morality.

Then why in some countries are anti-Semites frequently found in ultra-religious circles and why do they primarily target the "communist/liberal/free-thinking/masonic/cosmopolitan" Jews whom they accuse of undermining traditional values of morality?

1 line summary without having to read the article. Hitler hated Jews because he was a goy....... That's their job.

Perhaps Hitler's kind of racism was in part a reaction to your kind: those who regard themselves as a race apart are indeed a race apart; those who see themselves as a race superior are instead a race inferior; those who view the rest as (in your word) cattle are themselves subhuman. A straight forward inversion of the snobbery.

This quote of Hitler's given is interesting:

QUOTE
There cannot be two Chosen People. We are God’s People.

This much seems true: it is either to be the whole of mankind or else there will be massacres - whether at Jericho, or Treblinka or Deir Yassin.

Essay on One Foot: hitler mainly hated Jews because he sought to eradicate morality and viewed Jews as the sole epitome of morality.
Nazi ideology was more based on Theosophy and the  idea of the restoration of
the god-men of Atlantis by eliminating the genetic pollution of other races. This
ideology viewed the Israelites of the Bible as the ancestors of humanity and thus a more
primitive version than the Aryans of Atlantis.

Hitler despised esoterism, magical thinking, etc. so he rationalized anti-semitism through Nietzsche's idea of Jews and Germans being competing super-races, one symbolizing the "emotional blackmail" of religion and morality, and the other symbolizing the philosophy of "might makes right". Some historians go as far as saying that Hitler wasn't actually anti-semitic, but he embraced it publically since it was one of the main beliefs of
German ultra-nationalists.

QUOTE
Therefore, some may question why, if hitler hated Jews because they embodied morality, he also hated male homosexuals and Communists, who seem to embody its opposite.
Homosexuality is not immoral by any stretch of the imagination, and neither is Socialism. Nazi homophobia was the reaction-formation of the large number of closet homosexuals in all levels and sectors of the Nazi party structure, especially the SA.

The hatred of Socialists comes from the fact that they were the main competitors for assuming power in Germany in the 1920s, and that they had violent confrontations with the early Nazi movement. Case in point is the refrain of the Nazi anthem that said, "our comarades killed by the red front... march among us in spirit".

QUOTE
In this way, Christianity and Nazism sought to accomplish similar goals.
Whoa. While I definitely disagree with Christianity, I think this statement is
a prime example of the kind of blind religious intolerance that starts wars and
fuels tragedies like the holocaust.
