Job Title: Executive Assistant
Job Description: Aish International is looking for a highly motivated and
dedicated person to assist the Executive Director. The office can get busy
at times and this person needs to be able to handle many requests at one
time. This person must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take
initiative. This person should be able to take a project and run with it
without having to be micro-managed.
Job Requirements: 1) Great computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel, ACT a
plus). Also able to do research on the computer.
2) Needs to have the ability to write and edit letters in a professional
manner, VERY well organized, able to multi-task, send out mailings, a quick
learner, and dedicated to Aish and its mission.
3) Sometimes making travel reservations will be required.
4) Hours are 9:00AM-6:00PM
Salary: $35K
Benefits: Health Insurance, 2 weeks vacations, Jewish Holidays off, early
friday's
Location: 63 West 38th St. - Suite 1103 New York, NY

Edit: Seriously though, don't bash the salary...It sounds about right for an office assistant.

That's a good salary for an office assistant plus benefits and jewish holidays off. I'll bet many people would like to make that much money and you shouldn't scoff at it.

while there are many college grads that apply to these types of jobs, there's actually nothing in the job description that requires a college degree.

35K is a nice start. But, what up with the 9-6 gig? Why do so many companies decide to ###### in that extra hour. (not that i'm interested, I have a job, thank you, just my .02 cents.)
