Good idea. Tehilla has actually put together pretty detailed write-ups on loads of Aliyah hotspots that people make Aliyah to. Unfortunately none of Rosh HaAyin, Dimona, nor Kfar Darom are listed. However there are lots of areas in all regions including places near each of those.

Seriously - Rosh Ha Ayin

City, mamash. Built where the old maabara was. The second largest concentration of Temeni Jews in Israel. On main hiqhways to TA,J=m, airport, etc. Great location for those who are urban animals.. Oldstyle temeni neighborhoods and also hi rises. Verrrry expensive. Recently,kminhagam b'tumah the govt put Russians in with the oldtimers. Of course it produces the desired friction as the Russians and Temenim are very different culturally and religiously. In the old neighborhoods you have your standard religious mix. GP with curled peyot, Abba in kippa sruga and grandchildren one in jeans and one w/a hat and jacket. Another family might have Abba w/o kippa and kids various styles of frum. Temenim are like that. Family is family and we're all together. Busses to Petach Tikva and from there to anywhere. All city services. Close to Park Cyble (Hi tech & industrial).

I know, bad joke. But the city I really want to know about is Khan Younis.

You might want to cross refrence some of the places on the Tehilla and NBN sites with the list (Sm)Olmert has which he plans on emptying...
