Do you know of any cheap wedding halls in jerusalem or near? Cheap means cheap, not too much.

Depending on what you are looking for, you may want to find out about
the Yitzchak Rabin Youth Center (I understand you may not like the name)-- see if you can bring in a caterer

or Ganei Ora?

I made my last wedding in Ulamei Wolff in Givat Shaul - $4/plate! The food was good and the hall is newly remodeled and very nice. We also saved money by cutting out places and putting up a smorg also. They put on each side a salmon the size of Moby ######. DD took the leftover salmon home and used it as main dish for sheva brochos. I didn't make the arrangements and I think what is not necessary is not included. In any Israeli hall sign a contract stating just what you are getting for your gelt. Don't pay until after the wedding. My DD did the arrangements as my ex gave her the money, she also found them an awesome photographer but expensive. PM me if you want to ask her any questions. Understands English, speaks much better Hebrew.

Names don't help me much without phone numbers or price ranges...

I hear Wolf is the cheapest.

Gutnik is competitive but I think they have a minimum number of guests.

I also hear the Tamir is pretty reasonable.

In Israel you can pull of a fairly nice wedding for a few grand. But don't expect 18oz prime rib plates, or sushi at the shmorg (if there even IS a shmorg).

If you're not squeamish about a missle or two dropping by, there are probably a lot of places up north offering bargain rates.

Yea, but honestly, I could care less. Either way, I was planning on having a small wedding, so the size of the hall really makes no difference to me.

Moshav Ora, about 5 mins south of Jerusalem near the road to Hadassah Ein Kerem.
There is a bus that goes there, or you can get to the Kiryat Hayovel area and take a cab...
bigtoe
I've heard once you leave J-lem, the prices automatically drop.

What about Nof Hayarden in Mitzpe Yericho, supposed to have gorgeous views of the water.. (20 mins. from Jeru.)

Just saw someone's wedd. pics that took place at Kibbutz Tzora, not bad at all.

(Ulamei Wolff was really nice, was there a few weeks ago. Food was great too)

Wait, why have it in a hall at all?? Get a garden or something..much cheaper, no?

Which bus?

Is it the 19 bus? It think the 19 gets real close to there. Think I could take the 19 and walk?

No is is an "inter-city" bus. 100 something.

And you CAN walk but it is a bit of a shlep (at least 2 or 3 KM, I did it once, it wasn't fun). But if you take the 19(or whatever) to the outskirts of J'lem, you can probably get a ride fairly easily and it's 2 mins by car.......
