If you were on a desert island, alone, and could only have one movie (yes, with a dvd player/vcr/power/bla bla), which would you choose and why?

I think I'd refine the choice to something like Kon-Tiki, or the documentary I saw about some people who built a Viking ship, in which the boat is built with pre-industrial materials or technology.

There are no stars. It's all a hoax. They're really very high power light bulbs embedded in space.

There are two opinion about that

1. The scientists are all in on the hoax and are perpetuating it. Hence, there's also no such thing as a red shift.

2. Alternatively, the light bulbs are just generating lower frequency light then similar light bulbs we have on Earth. Actually, since we don't have similar light bulbs, the whole measurement of this 'red shift' becomes invalid.

Silly... they aren't suspended in space, they're attached to the top of a big dome where our entire lives are played out and everything we do is recorded. One of the lamps even fell down from the sky.

And if I don't see you later, good afternoon, good evening and good night. smile.gif

I was thinking of this movie last weekend. I was in the mountains, the skies had millions of stars like I've never seen before, but there was no moon. I figured we had to pay extra to get that thing turned on.

Allow me to make myself clear. The Truman show was not my choice at all. It’s the movie Wolf (and Int) were referring to.

But it is a good movie. I recommend it.

Silly... there are no stars. They're just lights embedded in a dome... wait... haven't we had this conversation already?

My answer, by the way, is my favorite movie of all time... one that I can watch over and over and over again without getting tired of it: The Princess Bride.

Yes, things seem to be circular as of late. Movies are my weakness. I own over a hundred and still counting/collecting.

Why Princess Bride? There must be a reason?

I'm still trying to decide:
