Ok... our pilot trip begins on Friday. We've narrowed down the cities we'd like to see, and most are somewhat near Jerusalem and/or Tel Aviv. Can anyone give the average amount of time a trip from the following cities would take to the central bus stations in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv?

Karnei Shomron

Maale Adumim

Kochav Yaakov

Rehovot

Elazar

and Modiin

Thanks!
Malynnda

P.S.-

If anyone lives in any of the above cities, we would love to talk to you about life there. We wanted Tehilla to set up a pilot trip for us, but so far they haven't been very helpful.

Maale Adumim is about 15 min from Jerusalem. I think Kochav yaakov is about an hr. Rechovot is an hr to jerusalem and Modiin is about 40 min to jerusalem i think (can be shorter).

I couldn't find schedules on the Egged site that said when the buses are scheduled to arrive, but I think you can get this info at the information counter at the Central Bus Station.

Karnei Shomron- Not so easy to get to by bus, is def closer to TA than to Jerusalem. But a very nice upscale community with many anglos.

Maale Adumim- very close to J'lem, practically a neighborhood on the outskirts of town. Not anglo at all and is mainly secular with pockets of national religious people. Not quite city, but not quite yishuv either

Kochav Yaakov- Close to J'lem (not more than 15 mins(barring traffic), regular busses all the time) a mixture of Uber Haredi and National Religious but everyone gets along.

Rehovot- closer to Tel Aviv, but there are busses from Jlem. A pretty nice place, not much there but a city environmnt but not a huge city like Jlem or TA.

Elazar- also not so bus accessible, but is close to J'lem and is very "yishuvy", if you check out elazar check out neve daniel too and maybe alon shvut.

and Modiin-urban halfway between TA and J'lem, very easy to get to. Was once a very secular city but the religious have made a lot of headway. Much cheaper than TA or J'lem, lots of new construction all the time.

BTW the airports are on strike until further notice but that can't last long. Hopefully it will be cleared up before Fri..... If not they will cancel the flight, you won't get stranded somewhere.
