Yes and no. (the new one is easier to deal with on the train)
It's a sign of the times...wonder if any other large-formats will change any time soon.

it also has to do with dow jones' neglect of the wsj (or is it just me)

I have been a Journal reader for over 20 years and subscriber for like 10. I am very unhappy with the format. There is much less to read now than there used to be. I hate having the letters scrunched up on page Siberia. I am happy Pepper&Salt is back where it belongs. (really funny one today btw). I would go to Investors Business Daily but I cant stand the info overload.
