My wife and I are making the big move to the suburbs (Westchester) and we need movers ASAP. Know anyone reliable and affordable?

Thanks!

I don't know if reliable movers exist, along with reliable car dealers, etc., but if you get ones with insurance, get EVERYTHING in writing, and don't prepay for the move, you will have your @ssets better protected.

Alternatively, you can rent your own truck and get a few illegal immigrants to move your stuff. This way, you get no fancy tricks, and you will save over 75% of the cost.

I had mexicans move me this last time around (regular employees of my then-boss); seforim were dumped all over the floor and the brand-new crib was scratched and dented as they tried to shove it through the door fully assembled. mad.gif If you're going to move yourself, draft people who actually give a ###### about not damaging your stuff.

I moved in December and used Thomas Newman Movers. They are located on Quentin Road and east 35th street in Brooklyn. They were really good and reasonably priced compared to some of the others I called. They were also recommended to me by friends who moved with them
