But my sister says that's "not so frum" looking. I think I agree. As I guy if I went on a date and there girl wore purple polish I think it would raise some flags.

Non-conformance...which could be a good thing actually. But it could also be a very bad thing.

Or it could be that her roomate who knew she was going on a date told her that she just had to wear purple nailpolish, it would look so good with what she's wearing and her makeup, it's so in, come on, just try it out.
So reluctantly, Miriam lets Shifra put the purple nailpolish on, having in mind to take it off before the date. However, it's a frizzy day, so Miriam has to spend an extra 10 minutes getting her hair to look right, and it's already 7:00! You're supposed to pick her up now. Miriam decides not to even try taking it off, since if she starts, you're sure to come 30 seconds later, after she took the polish off of only two nails. Of course, you don't show up for another 10 minutes, which would have been plenty of time, but how was Miriam to know that you would be 10 minutes late?

(No, it wasn't purple nailpolish, but yes- spoken from experience.)

I'm not sure, but please, please don't ever use bubble-gum pink. It's terrible.

I have no idea what's "in", but my preference is for french manicures and pedicures with a light pink base.

I don't like anything too dark. I'm petite and think it looks weird on me. And it looks terrilbe when chipped, worse than a light color!

Oh, I and I was wondering what was up with all these aidel sem girls walking around with dark purple nails. Guess that explains it...

I actually like purple but that shade is pretty hideous.....
