One time in High School someone put out papers in the Beis about how wearing boxers is more halachically kosher than briefs for various reasons which cannot be discusses on H.com or ill get banned - mainly to do with Keri and heating up - eitherway - Boxers

That’s pretty much the chassidish reason for lange gatches, which are basically boxer shorts that are lengthened for tznius reasons.
