I'm a long time listener, first time caller (sorry, I always wanted to say that). While I was waiting with bated breath for my final approval for membership, I was sitting and watching all the posts I've been reading and had opinions about, slowly inch their way farther and farther down the list, it got me thinking. Without any personal experience I can't say for sure, but all the books I've read and movies I've seen, seem to agree that this is a fact - when you wanna buy a gun there's a thirty day 'cooling period' untill you recieve your gun (except for the bad guys. They always know someone who in turn knows someone else who's selling guns on the blackmarket.... you know how it is). This is so that if you're trying to obtain your weapon of choice out of passion to commit a crime, hopefully you'll have amnesia and when you're finally locked and loaded you'll be the most loving would-be killer, and your mother-in-law will probably be eternally grateful for your forgetfulness. The point of this rambling is that after all applying, e-mailing and validation periods, I forgot what it was that I simply HAD to say that led me to apply to begin with.
Don't get me wrong, gun control is very important, and without it, this country will have that much less to fight about come elections. I'm just wondering if anyone else felt like this during their tenure as a lame duck.
