I have tried at numerous locations and various times to run AimExpress and was never succesfull.
I always get the following message
:

You have successfully logged into Aim Express. However, we are unable to launch your Buddy List because you have Popup blocking enabled. Please disable the Popup blocker or add the *.aimexpress.aol.com and aimexpress.aol.com domain to the allowed white list.

Please refer to your Popup blocker software for more information.

I went to Tools-Options - Security and chose to allow both domains mentioned.
No Go

Even easier [for macheads] is Adium. Sign in once for all your messengers (gTalk too!). They all appear in 1 buddylist window (neatly organized by service).
