This was another enjoyable Chazaq event. R' Lior Stern was a good speaker, and came across as a very warm, positive and upbeat person. (I can't say that he "shocked me with his story," though.)

R' Noach Herz wasn't there, as he was celebrating the birth of a grandchild. That was disappointing.

It was a little surprising that the event was basically a fundraiser for the yeshiva of the speakers, which raised thousands in dollars through the sale of mezuzot which had been blessed by Rav Ovadia Yosef. I guess that saved Chazaq from paying speakers' fees.

The food was good, though I arrived at 7:55 and there wasn't much left. The sweet and sour chicken was gone by that time, and most of the beef had been picked out of the pepper steak, though I found a few pieces to go with the noodles, peppers and onions.

I didn't see any of the local H.com chicks at this lecture.
