I spilled coffee all over my keyboard (don't even comment ) and the keys slowly stopped working.
I have an iBook with a removable keyboard.
I'm trying to dry it, and while I'm at it, clean it, but can't figure out how to take off the number lock part. Can anyone help?

Also, I really needed that half of the coffee.
And I have to use a Dell now to post this.

So please please help.

It is likely hosed (especially if there was sugar in the coffee).
Start looking for a replacement keyboard on eBay...

So there's nothing at all I can do?

ETA: Keyboards on eBay are cheap; the shipping is scandalous.

It might work, then again it might not.
Or it might work partially. Let it dry and find out...

It's dry (I think); I put back the a. It doesn't work. If the a doesn't work, I might as well spend 25 dollars on a new keyboard. Am trying to find the cheapest one that will ship the soonest.

BTW, your siggy is driving me nuts. I've been trying for days to get that song out of my head.
ETA: But it's okay. This Dell is driving me even more nutter.
