I have about a million sliced mushrooms and don't know what to make with them. Could be parve, meat,or dairy.
Any ideas (nothing eggy like omlettes or a frittata please)?

Are they hallucinogenic?

They don’t last too long in the fridge. Sautte them and add to lasagna & ziti, or make soup.

Can top pizza, add into a stir fry, make a mushroom/barley soup or cream of mushroom soup.

Right, that's why I'm trying to figure out what to do with them

How long would they keep sauteed?

I go through loads of mushrooms every week.
Lately I've been putting lots of mushrooms into hot and sour soup and also into stir fries.
I make pizzas that are loaded with sauteed mushrooms and onions.
Pasta with tomatoes, mushrooms, peas, and a little cheese.
(If you don't want to take the time to sautee them, you can just pop them into the microwave).

The highest and best use of the mushrooms would be to make them into mushroom sushi rolls. It would yield an awful lot of sushi though. If you need help eating all of it, just give me a call.

i love the smell/taste of sauteed mushrooms and onions. beside the suggestions above, saute mushrooms with onions and add to mashed potatos, rice, or cuscus

In fresh salads, I use it to bake/crock pot chicken and it's delicious. Google mushroom recipe, or try epicurious specifically. They have great recipes. Also, to keep it fresh just a tad longer - seal it in an air tight ziploc bag. It lasts a few days longer.

I intend to have our extra mushrooms sauteed with some unextra onoins. Sprinkle on tortilla, sprinkle with lots of shredded cheese. wrap and bake...when I get a chance to do it, that is.

Ended up making two mushroom pies, and sauteeing the rest to use in other things. Thanks.
