Is it a problem returning a pickle to a pickle jar on shabbat or YT?
Is it a problem pouring salad dressing on a salad early?

Ever try attaching wires from each end of a pickle and sticking the other ends of the wires in an electric outlet with the lights off while you're playing drunken draidel? It's really cool.

Never tried it, have you? (You always struck me as the not drunken draidel type)

Well, no, I am not the drunken draidel type. Strip draidel was always my game.
But yes, running a current through a pickles is really, really cool. It glows yellow because of the sodium content.

What if you run the current through the pickle not during a drunken draidel game? Does that inrcrease or decrease the coolness factor?

What about running a current through plain salt water, what happens then?

Well, you should know that everything is more cool when you're drunk.

True. But it doesnt have to be a current through a pickle, we can run a current through all sorts of other exciting vegetables and have just as much fun.

I did once. It was a disaster. I didnt have good wires and I tried using a 10 thousand volt stun gun for power. I was trying it because I had read somewhere it produces a fatal gas and I wanted to see if it was true. What ended up happening was my stun gun short circuited itself. sad.gif

The place for this I think is really Siman 321.

About putting a pickle back in, I am not sure since from the Mishnah Berura enf of SK 15 ibid he seems to say only "fresh" [I guess that means un pickled] ones are promlamitc, but IDK.

About salad dressing what is it made out of? but yes there can be a problem.

Fine:
In the beit hamikdash, may it be speedily rebuilt in our days, were the animals skinned from the feet toward the head, or from the neck toward the feet?

Feet toward head.

But I did NOT mean that, all I meant was that, that is where this issue is discussed.

What happens?

I remember seeing a website years ago some college kids put together which was a collection of pics and vids on how different things react to being put in the microwave. The two coolest that I remember them doing was, a CD (which looked like a fireworks display)and an aerosol can (which was more like a dynamite display.)

A CD IS pretty cool.
An aerosol can is not in fact someone was almost killed during biur chometz when some idiot threw a can into the fire... mad.gif

An egg is pretty cool too, but it makes quite a mess and may blow the door right off of the microwave....

You're not supposed to stand there when you put the can in.

The egg I've tried(while trying to make breakfast one morning), but B'h the door stayed on.

I came up with that on my own for my eighth grade science project. I ended up selling hotdogs at the science fair. I won awards for both science and economics!

Did the hot dog provide enough resistance that the circuit breaker/fuse didn't blow?
How did it taste??
I wonder if this works with other food, and how much more (or less) economical is it than an oven/burner??? Could you imagine electrocuting a turkey???
Is this basically the same thing as a microwave???

I once had that idea with burgers on the third rail.
