When's the best time to buy tickets to Israel. I found a flight for 1300 from montreal. Is that good or do you think if i wait a few months ill get a cheaper one?

There're pretty good ticket prices during January & February.

Tickets are steep now all year round. It used to be that you could easily find tickets in the winter for $500 or less, and even peak for $8-900 to/from NY.
Nowadays good luck....
But Jan is usually the cheapest time...

I actually liked my Israir experience (except for my lost luggage and the fact that they canceled my return flight without saying anything....)

Stop over.
Austrian Airlines and Lufthansa. Yeah I'm flying with the effin Nazis אז מען דארף דעם גנב נעמט מען איהם אראף פון תליה
But at least I am doing it out of necessity unlike Aron Teitelbaum who flew Lufthansa because he preferred the blonde Aryan stewardesses over the Zionist ones at El Al.

On kayak the lowest fare for March is $820 (on multiple airlines)
I just did one of these multiple airline flights (Continental and El Al to Israel and Brussels and AA back to NY). It was expensive b/c I bought the tix less than 2 weeks ahead of time.
Elite Tours and Travel has a Winter Special via Europe from $386. They have a special deal with Swiss-- it's worth calling them.
