Most of my slacks are navy and gray, but I do have a couple that are brownish. I've been wearing brown clothes for years with black belts and shoes. But I recently purchased a brown suit, and the saleslady said that I must wear them with brown (or maybe she said "burgundy") belts and shoes and socks. So I acquired those items in brown, and I guess they match my brown clothing better. (Maybe my lack of fashion sense is the reason that so many girls have rejected me.)

I was in shul this morning, and now that my eyes have been opened to the sartorial side of life, I suddenly realized that my tefillin are black! Now what should I do? Where can I buy tefillin in a nice shade of brown?

Never listen to women for mens fashion advice. Burgundy with brown is odd.

i also don't think burgundy and brown match.

what about your SIDDUR?!?
Bezalel99
She might have said brown.

Brown siddurim are easy to find in shul, so that's not a problem.
Elana
but do you make sure to pick the brown siddur?

i'd say, tefillin can be compared to a woman's engagement/wedding ring. you know, how the rule is they are exempt from mathcing the other jewelry (white/yellow gold), i think your tefillin falls into the same exemption smile.gif
