Someone has been brushing up on her gemara. And if I recall correctly, pig is supposed to be like some sort of liver or something, but I could be remembering this totally wrong.

More, like, someone heard it mentioned in passing at a shiur about two years ago and was grossed out enough to remember.
Some fish organ, don't remember if it was brain or liver.
I assume you are both referring to Chulin 109b where the gemara quotes Yalsa who was actually Rav Nachman's wife.
She enumerates a number of thing that are forbidden and points out their permitted counterparts.
The shabut (
Barbus grypus) fish to be exact is the one that tastes like pig. Rashi writes that it's the brain that tastes like pig. (Others write it's the tongue.)
Recently this fish has been discovered in Iran and brought to Israel. Of course if you read
my blog you would know about that.
