i didn't really get the plot until half-way through. maybe that's because they want you to watch it more than once.
i also think they could've done more with calypso other than just a storm.

thoughts?

I thought the whole calypso thing was very confusing. She was around the whole first 2 movies without mention.
The plot was simple enough but pretty lame. The first one was the only good one.

I was completely lost for the first hour.

Was that because Jack was on the "other side"? The whole flipping of the oceam was dumb.

it was dumb that he just figured it out randomly out of nowhere. one min he's scratching his head as to what in the world the map is talking about, the next minute he's suddenly an expert.

they started out well, but what was the song all about? the fact that a little boy sang started a song means the pirates need to get together to chat?

the first one was awesome, second was sort of pointless, i'm still thinking about the third one.

I couldn't follow it at all and fell asleep for 30 minutes somewhere near the beginning of the movie and dozed in and out during the rest. Most of the characters were so difficult to look at and scared me. I hated the movie and wish I'd never seen it.
Mike Smith
You mean you didn't enjoy Davey Jones and Calypso making out?
Gabbe
I got confused by the whole thing where Davey Jones's boys come back to life, the ship becomes a stumpy tub of lumber, but Will still has to ride around for ten years.

the first one was awesome,

the soundtrack ROCKS!!!!

I didn't like the third one so much....although I laughed when that man was trying to get feeling back in his toes and he pulled it off instead.

Ever notice a lot of Hans Zimmer's soundtracks sound the same? All three Pirates Of The Carribeans, The Rock and Gladiator all have very similar sounding parts.
The third Pirates was IMO the same as the first two. Im still not sure if I liked them. Although watching it in theater with other people made all the funnier.

I don't like watching movies in the theatre (although I'm the type of person that comments on everything, just ask Tova what it was like to watch Hairspray with me last week).
I haven't really listened to any of his other soundtracks, to be perefectly honest.
