Yehudi
Toward the end of the introduction, he brings a Braisa from Avoda Zarah 20b however the way it is in the Hebrew version and the way it is in the english don't seem to match (at least at this site)!

QUOTE
Here is the hebrew:

"מכאן אמר רבי פנחס בן יאיר:

תורה מביאה לידי זהירות,
זהירות מביאה לידי זריזות,
זריזות מביאה לידי נקיות,
נקיות מביאה לידי פרישות,
פרישות מביאה לידי טהרה,
טהרה מביאה לידי חסידות,
חסידות מביאה לידי ענוה,
ענוה מביאה לידי רוח הקדש,
רוח הקדש מביאה לידי תחית המתים

And here is the english:

From this R. Pinchas ben Yair says

`Torah leads to Watchfulness;
Watchfulness leads to Zeal;
Zeal leads to Cleanliness;
Cleanliness leads to Separation;
Separation leads to Purity;
Purity leads to Saintliness;
Saintliness leads to Humility;
Humility leads to Fear of Sin;
Fear of Sin leads to Holiness;
Holiness leads to the Holy Spirit,
and the Holy Spirit leads to the Revival of the Dead."

Does it take longer for an english speaker to reach the level of "revival for the dead!"?

Goldfish
Yes.

It added Humility.

It actually added "fear of sin" and "holiness".

I'm not seeing that.
Kalashnikover_Rebbe
I think the Hebrew version is truncated in this version.
I specifically remember "Yiras Cheit" being in there...

Yup its in the Gemora, but the question is why is it not in the hebrew here, I checked a different one in hebrew and it also had it missing.

so you don't need anavah to be a "chassid"? (not with today's connotation)

I think that the whole discussion as to what leads to what etc. is what the sefer Mesilas Yesharim will be discussing.

First it doesn't have to be "me", second fridays (especially short ones like the ones now [I just grabbed a few min. to pop into h.com]) are tough, but I figure that the rest of the weekdays are fine, so I guess everyday besides friday and Shabbos, of course as I said that is just me, everyone else is encouraged to post, in fact it might even be better if it isn't me posting.
