Anyone with a macbook have it installed?? demo-ish

Can't believe I hadn't heard of it till now.
Aside from the 'cool-flippy-cube' effect you have about 10 more to choose from, flip, slide, swirl, fade, zoom, swing etc. and can set the motion sensor with it too!!! omg! too cool. I just set it to flip desktops (either defined solely according to what app. you want and/or OS+vm!) when it's tilted; I'm so stoned from sitting here tilting the comp back & forth watching it flip..zzzzzzzz..

oh and iAlertU.

Been there, done that, smashed the computer (pre-magsafe). The keyboard was the best part, great stress-reliever..snapping it in and out and having it pulled back automatically by the magnets..

No oily keyboard. Someone got me this as a present. Best gift I've ever received!

I'll admit to not knowing everything about Mac ( bigcry.gif bigcry.gif bigcry.gif ) -- what's magsafe? And what are the magnets? Not that I don't have the greatness of the keyboard without it of course.... (I have a 2001 iBook -- for Mac, that's only a year outdated.)

Cool! Wish my friend would have known about it before....

On the contrary. They have a sleek simple beauty to them. And a quiet beauty.

Don't expect a guy to understand the emotional part..

Plain and simple: macs just work (and because they happen to kick@$$ while they're at it gets the boring, grey-boxers in a royal snit).

Functionality is the key in computing. Beauty is in the realm of thought.

Indeed.
pc's suck. No streamlined interface, no nuthin.

oh and brand loyalty? Apple has that down pat. How many people are fanatic about their computers?? (mac users aside)

I'm perfectly happy with my pc. Name me one thing that you can do on your mac that I can't on my pc?

Yeah, more like blind allegiance to a cult leader. "Commit suicide!". "Yes master!".

Are these to switch from Mac to Windows?

pcs don't inspire creativity every moment you work with them. Vista's trying way too hard at what's been done already.

really? no one slapped me over the head with a macbook and said "here, you're on a no-food-mac-only diet for the rest of your life"

Not only switiching back and forth w/ the virtual side. You can have a few mac desktops open, each devoted solely to one activity. Say, iphoto on one, email in another, h.com in another; you get the point.

Again, name me one functional thing I can't do on the PC that you do on a mac. Things like "it inspires creativity" are from the "flowery" realm, and don't quite cut it. [I can say that my PC inspires "astrally projected trips in my mind" and you won't be able to argue with that either].

This (with difficulty it could be achieved on maybe one brand).

Sure I could. At least I don't use shrooms when I trip with a mac.

What do you gain from it?

What do you gain from it?

Keeping the two OS separate (you can even hook up the second OS to an external screen and go smoothly between the two somehow).

If I had it 2 yrs. ago (when exposé first showed up) I would've been able to keep my work side and h.com/other misc. totally separate..you could be running 5 different screens and no nosy co-workers would know the difference.

(Also, check out what this guy does..he's using Spaces though; utilized for the same reason)
