The red eyes of the 'devil-guy', fake cobwebby stuff in the caves and electricity bolts at the end etc. are too weird for me..better graphics and better executed next time.

Pulp Fiction

Did you really like it? Or did you just like the John Travolta/Uma Thurman dance?

Oh, it taught me how to administer epinephrin into the heart of a person who OD'd. (although it wasn't very accurately portrayed.

C'mon, when he had his eyes drilled out that wasn't fake? It didn't even look like the blood was half-trying hard. It gets points for cencept though.

Waterworld had great costume/scenery, original characters. It didn't rank as 'wannabe movie' on my list (and the kid played her part awesomely!)

War was eh.

I dont know why more people dont know this, but Once Upon A Time In Mexico is the third movie of a storyline. Granted it can be watched without the first two, but they're just as good IMO (If you liked this one, of course). The first one is, El Mariachi. http://imdb.com/title/tt0104815/
Then goes Desperado. http://imdb.com/title/tt0112851/

If there had been one effing thread that actually had good movies to recommend (not sucky ones) there'd be no need for this.

As good as can be expected for a book turned movie. Sean Connery is as good as ever though.

I'm totally not answering the quesion here because I barely do any of those genres, but slowest moving movie ever was Forrest Gump.

I guess for drama I'd say Now Voyager wub.gif , Merchant of Venice, British TV series Upstairs,Downstairs, Philadelphia, 12 Angry Men

If we're going to include TV series you definitely have to include McGuyver.

All of it. Starting from Al Pacino's opening scene (boating down a canal, if I remember correctly), to the end credits.

Yes and no. 24 is one two hour movie stretched out for 24 episodes, 18 hours. PB though, is a little more thought out and in general, the plot is slightly more original than 24 which is your basic action movie storyline. (Besides, PB only has 22 episodes a season.)

I cant believe no one mentioned The Usual Suspects.
Alatariel
Best thriller - The Others
Best action - Sin City, Layer Cake, Get Carter (the original, not the Sly Stallone mess), Sexy Beast, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bills
Best adventure - Lord of the Rings, Jurassic Park, Jaws
Best drama - A History of Violence, Children of Men, (edit) I almost forgot Notes on a Scandal. Absolutely AMAZING performances from Judi Dench and Cate Blanchett. Highly recommended.

I'm sure No Country for Old Men would make my list if I had seen it yet. sad.gif I'll probably have to wait for it to come out on DVD.

And for TV:
The best show on TV is The Wire. Hands down, bar none. The end.

Yes, it was disturbing, but realistically so. Life isn't always rainbows and fluffy bunnies and happily ever after. At least it wasn't "Oh my GOD his wife's HEAD is in the box!!" disturbing...

Yes, great perfomances. But a typically grey and dreary English movie.
