I have a couple of simple questions in dreamweaver 8.

If you're a Dreamweaver expert, please let me know.

Ok. The first question is: Often on a webpage you will see at the top where it says Home Contact Links About US etc. When you scroll over one of those items, a dropdown list appears with other options. How can I create this in Dreamweaver?

Not very simple - so i suggest using an existing resource for that - try any of the following.

I believe what you are referring is commonly known as a DropDown menu or Multi-Level Menu yo may also see terms like Sub-menu, tree, parent etc used in context

That's exactly what I want, just with different colors. I didn't have a chance to look at any of your other links as I'm finishing up for the day, but will look tomorrow.

Thanks!

The first link seems to be exactly what I need. However, for some reason, it's not working for me. Can you PM me when you're available to help me out with this.

I think it's simple but have been working for hours unable to figure out what I'm sure is VERY simple.

Ok. I'm worse off than when I started. I still don't have the code I need AND I don't have enough time either.

All I would like is if anyone knows HTML code (in or not in dreamweaver8) I need to be able to create a simple page with 5 items across the top of a page. When any one of those five items are scrolled over, a drop-down menu will appear. For each item, the menu will appear directly beneath it with the possible items.
EXAMPLE

Hashkafah.com Posts Profile Messages

If scroll over Hashkafah.com, you will see: Onlysimchas
Frumster
Yeshiva World

If scroll over Posts you will see: New
Old
Elite

Anyone?!?!?!

What you want cannot be done in HTML. You must mean Javascript.

Here are instructions for doing it in Dreamweaver.

Thank you. I do not have time to look at it now, but intend to do so tomorrow morning.

I beg to differ. That is absurd.

I have created 100's of CSS menus in pure CSS/HTML.

FYI: Is this good enough?

PERFECT-O! Thanks to all of you who helped me in this thread or in person.

Next Question: How can I edit a .png file if I don't have Photoshop?

FYI
Ok. If I'm looking at the menu-style.css, where can I change how big I want the mid-black box to be. My list is longer and is not appearing since it's white text. How can I make that box bigger?

ETA: Never Mind. How can I make my whole frame be a taller height. IS that put into the .css file or into the .html file?
FYI
I'm so close thanks to you guys, yet I'm still so far.

On the style sheet that International put up, how can I make the frame or area where there is a plain black box taller?

On the style sheet that International put up, how can I make the style of the text when it dropdowns, not be so far shifted to the right - I want it left-aligned?
FYI
This isn't really about Dreamweaver, but don't think I need a whole new thread.

Do you have ideas of what a nice web page looks like? Can you give me the URL?

Specifically, right now, I am looking to design a 'Links' page which basically just includes a list of helpful links related to the information the website has. (does that make sense?)
existwhere?
Like this?
FYI
new question. I created an .html file that does exactly what I Want it to do.

Now I want to create .html file #2 that call html file #1 as a layer, how can I do that using <div

Can I do div id = name of file????
