I tried them on once and I didn't even make it 20 feet bigcry.gif

You're at least the third guy whom I've heard say this recently. Hence the poll.

Worn = tried them on even for a second.
High-heeled = any shoe or boot with a distinct heel. For males, any female heeled shoe or boot.

your definition of "worn" is very unusual...

It's possible that an young adolescent could squeeze into a high-heeled shoe that perfectly matches the black sequined number for which he has been dieting on cabbage soup for the last three weeks because he wants to impress his cross-dressing friends on Saturday night at the Rodeo bar in Murray Hill. It's possible. Not that I would know anything about that.

I guess if Dennis Rodman can pull it off it shouldn't be so far-fetched.

ETA: How much larger would the foot of a guy my same height be in comparison to my
feet?  (I'm almost 6' and I wear a women's size 8-8 1/2)

In context, I think it makes perfect sense. I'm curious as to how common it is for men to try on high-heeled shoes.

Probably about a size ten or eleven in men's. That said, shoe size doesn't always correspond to height; you're a good 7-8" taller than me and I'm two sizes over you.

Unlike the rest of his body, KR's feet are of average size... And I was much younger when I last tried them on... In my teens I believe....

This one time in band camp.....

I wore a fur coat, high heals, lipstick and shackles. They called me Stacey!

Since that incident they started dispensing liquid soap in D-Block...

To this day I wonder if there was some prankster behind it...After all it takes much longer to pick up liquid soap...especially in high heals.

I wear them practically every day. They're great for building strong calf muscles.

Why would there be calves on a dairy farm? There’d be no milk left for ice-cream.

Um...tell me you started with, perhaps, 1-2" heels first? (Not referring to you, but...) Why women who never (or perhaps only periodically) wear heels think they can just throw on a pair of stilletos (I know I'm exaggerating) and be comfortable is beyond me. Wearng heels is like exercising certain muscles groups; you must ease into the exercise gracefully and over time or you can cause serious injury.

It's not just the fact that you use different muscles to walk on heels than on flats. It's also that your knees remain slightly bent when you wear them, and that the way your body supports its own weight changes significantly.

Which isn't too bad a thing if you're use to it. Weight-lifting and various other exercises require that the knees are slightly bent to avoid damage. It's just something to strengthen gradually over time vs. a one night affair because, "Man these shoes are the sh*ts and would match my h0tt outfit perfect!!".

I started wearing low heels years ago, and made my way up. I think I'll stop at 5, though.

Yeah, I've worn heels...stilettos, espadrilles, sling backs....a very close friend of mine has the exact same size foot as I do and it entertains people endless when I try on her shoes, although I have never gone farther than ten feet in them.

Actually it's also healthy to wear a pair of transition heels when going from very high heels into flats. So as to de-acclimate the leg muscles.
