Which begs the question. If someone only posts a personal Mazel Tov in AC, and it gets out - either through one of the yentas who read it, or the person themselves hints it in the main forum - should we say Mazel Tov, or should we pretend we saw nothing and move on?

I think if the mother themselves mentions they gave birth, it's okay to assume it was intended to be public knowledge at that point. As far as any birth announcements that may or may not be made in only AC, and are leaked by the yentas, should be glossed over until the announcement is okay'd by the mother in question. Nothing worse than having personal information leaked, then commented upon by various strangers, and then trying to retract the whole thing...

No one would DARE post something on AC that could go in the regular forum.
