A friend of mind is looking for a hall in the Northern NJ/NY area. Can you guys recommend some wedding halls in Monsey?

Atrium Plaza (Rt 59) 824-356-9136, has separate rooms for chuppa and dinner.

There's the Sheraton Crossroads, just outside of Monsey. Very nice place.

Is that the place where the hall is on the 15th floor?

Yeh, but there are different ballrooms lower down. They have gardens (though you won't see much this time of year) and waterfalls indoors and out. Personally, I don't think it's the most magnificent place, but it's not bad. It's the hotel you see when you are driving north on the 87.
Crossroads

Instead of the 15th floor, you can do the chuppa outside if its the right time of year. The 15th floor has lots of windows with a view. But IIRC, making a wedding there costs more than one of the frum halls.

DoubleTree is a nice hotel in Mahwah, NJ its about 15 minutes north/west of monsey, 1 mile south of the crossroads mentioned above. If you want to get hold of the caterer let me know - He is a friend of mine.

Anthony's pier 9 is a very nice place, with some cool features like this one:

NY Country Club has gorgeous grounds (so best time of year would be spring/summer).

It's on Brick Church Rd. (in the heart of everything Monsey..though I guess it'd be classified officially as New Hempstead)

One caveat I would mention (having been there multiple times on dates) is that particularly near the large water thing in the front, you may be sharing your smorgasboard (and your guests) with hordes of mosquitoes....

But its small.
