I don't really get how a brand of nail polish could be "good" or "bad". If you like the color, it's good, no?

Could you explain what you consider to be quality in nail polish.

Right, that it doesn't chip quickly, lasts a long time, and also how it spreads - how smoothly it goes on the nail when you paint it on. That's what I look for at least.

i don't know that brand, but is there ANY brand that doesn't start chipping in 5 minutes and lasts a long time??
RH, what's platinum color - silverish?

Yes, platinum is silverish. I知 into that.
But, at this stage in mylife, I gotta have longevity on nail polish. I知 only into extended wear brands.
I guess if no one know, I can be the guinea pig. If I don稚 like it, I値l donate it to the mikvah.

Are you using two coats of nail polish?
Are you storing your nail polish for long periods of time without closing it carefully?
If your hands are in frequent contact with hot water, the polish will chip very rapidly...
Transparent nail polish with sparkles looks OK even if it chips (you can't really tell if it has chipped). (if you're into that kind of nail polish...)

Red Hare

My experience has been that the quality nail polishes last longer. I知 VERY hard on nail polish, howver.

I like OPI, Estee, and Sally Hansen when it's their Extended Wear nail polish. I never wear anything that doesn't say something like Extended Wear, 10-day polish, or some such.

i see. i don't think i had much luck with sally hansen polishes, even extended wear ones... OPI is, i believe, what they use in salons - same chipping on the same/next day...
