to steam zucchinis, and carrots? Hydroponic cauliflower has hit the stores, so I want to steam some, as well as some zucchinis and carrots and then serve it w/ an Italian dressing over it.
So I want the vegetables to be cooked, but not mushy; crisp, but not raw. Anyone know the proper amount of time to achieve this? TIA.

It's more about feel than time. Check after 4 minutes or so and then keep checking until it feels right.

Just keep poking at it? And is colour a factor, as well?
