Is it cute or tacky? What do you think about red pocketbooks in general?

I don't know exactly how to describe it, but cute ain't it...

it looks like the bag put on lipstick in the 80's - is that how you wanted to describe it?

- It's shiny.
- It's bright red.
- It has overly large and abundant grommets.
- It has a useless and ornamental "belt"...
- ...that is tied in a bow...
- ...with useless holes for a nonexistent buckle.

In other words, it's ostentatious and ornamental.

We can see the bag as well as you can....

Oh and this is the shade of red I would consider to be "blood red".

Personallpy I love it and would buy it in a heartbeat (figuring in budget constraints obviously) but I am the type who changes purses regularly to fit my outfit/mood.

It would look awsome with black or houndstooth black and white!

I tend not to like handbags as large as that one (or as large as it appears to be). I don't know if the color is that tacky, but perhaps it would look nicer in a 
matte finish and/or combined with another more subdued color...

because they had a different style that came in red and black too.
I live near 2 targets, so when it arrives if I dont like it in red its good to know maybe I can swap it....

I was in target today and they had the bag. In red. For mega discounted price. So I bought it.
I'm but annoyed that I also ordered it online for much more money and now need to go through returning it.....
