I voted. Or tried. Once its added to my cities, is it considered a vote? Do I have to login?

Is this a mitzvah deoraysah, d'rabbanan, or midivrei kofrim?

I don't know...anything less than the Park Place position would be a real boosha to Yerushalayim... on the other hand at least it does read Jerusalem, Israel which is better than what the U.S. State Dept. says...

Nice work! Keep it up...it has to get up to #20 to make the list. (The other 2 are wildcard cities.) Also it has to make it to #2 to get the Park Place spot.

Why is it important for Jerusalem to be in the Monopoly game?

I can just see it spawning anti-semitic comments and bad jokes.

It's not. We should put the Middle East in and then carpet bomb it. (The Meiri talks about it.)

Apparantly Jerusalem is one of the most sought after pieces of land anywhere in the world, why shouldnt that be portrayed realistically in a board game?

It wouldn't help in this case because you need to respond to the confirmation email and I presume they only allow one vote per customer.

Besides, didn't we decide on an old thread that it's genivas daas? (I'm not bored enough to look it up)

Let's just say that I've noticed that the Meiri is not generally held in high esteem by the OPS. It seems as if only girls and MO guys even take him seriously. Sort of like the Abarbanel.

It's true. I don't agree with them but there's no point in denying it. Certain meforshim are more respected in the Yeshivish world than others, and unfortunately the Meiri isn't one of them.

That it isn't part of the typical curricula doesn't mean it's less respected.

I don't think the self proclaimed "Torah World" puts it on the same level as the Rashba or the Pnai Yehoshua. People learn it but it isn't given the same weight as the major meforshim.

That may have to do with his style of writing which is a more "simplistic" one, and with the fact that it was only relatively recently published.

I suppose if it must have a price tag let it have the most expensive price tag.

Park Place is statistically among the least landed squares on the board by the way.
