Salshelet haor - means the chain of light - Heichal Shelishi - one and two are the Baal Shem tov and the Maagid

Shaar Sheini - means which number sefer of his (rishon is the Sefer Hatanya [even if his SA was written before the Tanya])

karnei Hod Torah - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kehot_Publication_Society

So there are three "heichal"s in the "shalshelet haor" (ohr=Torah I guess): The Baal Shem Tov, the Maggid of Mezeritch, and the Baal HaTanya?

How is this book a shaar? A gate to what?
(I guess it's in order of importance?)

Interesting.

Thank you!

No it continues on, the Baal Hatanya's son being number 4, tzemach tzedek number 5...."The" L Rebbe number 9.

I guess a gate of\to the "light" light of torah? (FTR the Baal Hatanya has more than just those two seforim, it goes on as well)

I would imagine it does go in order of importance (however that is measured) but I shamefully am not sure as to how exactly it works.

your welcome.

I see, and there it ends?

What is the list?

OK, thanks.

You have problems with the title page, but not the title itself?

Are you referring to that it doesn't say Shulchan Aruch HaRav anywhere on the title page?

err: I don't get it.

Did he get fired or something?? Why didn't I hear about this? unsure.gif

Specifically, HaRav.

Why is that surprising?
That certainly isn't what HE called it. And Chabadniks (who publish the version in question) rarely if ever call it that except when talking to non "anash"....

Exactly. Does that not strike you as somewhat insidious?
