If a nonJew can't do work that a Jew can't do, can you ask a fellow student to takes notes for you?
For some reason I misread this as, a ben noach can't take notes on Chol Hamoed. (nice rhyming though)
I guess this means, a NonJew can't take notes on Chol Hamoed, for a Jew.
Why not copy the notes after CHM?

I suppose one could, but the question is if the Jew can ask the nonJew in advance, or if he can't, just as he can't ask a nonJew to take notes for him or her on Yom Tov.
