Whenever I take a child of mine for a bloodtest and sign consent form, it asks to circle gender and the choices are Male/Female/Unknown. Everytime I go I ask if anyone has circled that and so far, phlebotomist* always told me 'not that I know of'. Why on Earth is that choice there?
