Giants Stun 'Perfect' Pats in Super Bowl

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - The Giants had the perfect answer for the suddenly imperfect Patriots: a big, bad defense and an improbable comeback led by their own Mr. Cool quarterback, Eli Manning. In one of football's biggest shockers, New York shattered New England's unbeaten season as Manning hit Plaxico Burress on a 13-yard fade with 35 seconds left in the Super Bowl.

Sunday's 17-14 win was the Giants' 11th straight on the road, and the first time the Patriots tasted defeat in more than a year.

It was the most bitter of losses, too, because New England (18-1) was one play from winning, but its defense couldn't stop a 12-play, 83- yard drive that featured a spectacular leaping catch by David Tyree, who scored New York's first touchdown.

Tom Brady, the league's Most Valuable Player and winner of his first three Super Bowls, was battered all game. He was sacked five times, hurried a dozen more, and at one point wound up on his knees, his hands on his hips following one of many poor throws.

What an amazing game. Way to go Big Blue! Looking forward to Tuesday's victory parade.

We watched most of it at Dougies but unfortunately missed the most exciting plays and quarter cuz we had to go home to the baby-sitter . So we heard the rest on the radio. Awesome game, a treat for all fans, and the Giants came away with the victory. Adiel wanted the Pats to win to get the history stuff but I'm pumped that theres finally going to be another parade here in NY.

That's like saying math is stupid. It's usually uttered by the people that are too stupid to understand it so like a child in primary school they call it "stupid."

For us smart people football is genius! The dual nature of its complexity and simplicity combines pure art with total science, strategy and execution, determination and discipline, preparation and sheer will. Football is anything but stupid. It is beauty.

Glad we agree on something.. 100% in fact! futbol kicks a$$!

crud! I wanted the Patriots to win. It was an exciting game though! (I just followed it towards the end, I don't have that much of an attention span for football.)
