Does anyone know what the ratio is of those leaving Israel to those coming to Israel (whether returning citizens or new olim)?

Also, what percentage of those leaving return to Israel at a later date?

Thanks.

These figures wil be very hard to find, as there is no official and accurate accounting. I can say that overall, for people doing shipments, it's about even, with slightly more import.

Specific countries are different - right now North America has more coming to Israel than going back, but France has more going back than coming. Argentina also now has more going back, and the former Soviet Union has more going back.

As for the percentage that left and came back, this would be almost impossible to track, as many leave without saying, or come back without saying, depending on what the specific benefit/detriment of saying would be.

Soviet Union also has many now moving to Germany (I mean FSU who made Aliyah to Israel now leaving for Germany).
