I'm hungry and the only thing to eat is a piece of salmon, happily defrosting lichvod Shabbos Kodesh. Is there a recipe so I can microwave it for my lunch? Please keep in mind that it better be tasty enough to be worth the fireworks I will have to endure when my wife comes home.

Considering your wife's status, I don't think it would be wise to publicly facilitate you....

I microwave salmon all the time. Put a salmon fillet on a dinner plate. Spread on top of it some lemon and herb sauce and some Mikee's garlic rib marinade. Add some minced onions. Cover with a second plate. Microwave for 3 mns per fillet. ie don't overnuke. eat at once.

My dad microwaves salmon all the time and it tastes fine. I think he usually just drizzles olive oil over it and then adds some salt and pepper. Maybe he squeeze some lemon over it as well. I would definitely use lemon.

Because you didn't have a recipe in time or because you didn't want to experience the fireworks?

A little of both.

I agree but for those of us without dedicated broilers it can be a hassle. I would use my George Foreman grill but it's fleishig. If I microwave it, it's done on the plate so nothing extra to clean.

No rov i ever heard of said you must dedicate your broiler for fish.
You could use a foil pan which is thrown away.

Salmon is very easy and quick to make in a pan, too. That's what I did the majority of the time, because my oven didn't work. Microwaving fish just sounds icky and rather lazy for a husband who probably had the time to do it, but couldn't be bothered to cook a proper dish.

You can't use a foil pan in a George Foreman.

Wrong.
Take fish. Douse in soy sauce (or olive oil or whatever). Nuke for five. Lunch is served.

That would be difficult as I don't own a nucleator...
