If you're expecting your SDJ to call you, isn't it better to have a specific time when he's going to call (e.g., between 8 and 9 p.m.) rather than something vaguer (e.g., after 8 p.m.)? Don't you think the vague timing sort of ruins your evening because it's hard to start doing anything if you never know when you're going to be interrupted?

Honestly, it depended on what I wanted to do. If I was planning on going out with friend, it was better if I knew that I definitely didn't have to be free until 8. On the other hand, if I'm just hanging out at home and doing random stuff, it stressed me out less to have it sort of surprise me.

I'd prefer a set time (i.e. between 8-9PM), but only because otherwise I'd be a basket case of nerves waiting and not knowing when. This way, I have an idea as to when, so I can start getting nervous at the appropriate time.

If he's calling your cellphone, I don't see too much of a problem. Well I guess getting into a debate with an SDJ at the supermarket could look weird ph34r.gif

In my case, he's not.

Yeah, that's a problem too. smile.gif

Of course, if you think that he is a considerate fellow who will follow your directions, or you think that you can train him in that regard, you should give it a try. Alternatively, you could ask what a convenient time would be for him, and then tell him that you will call him at that time.

Of course, remember that sometimes things come up that delay a phone call, such as another call from a parent, etc.

I should mention that guys also suffer from some anxiety when waiting to hear from a girl, such as sending e-mails to a girl who does not respond.

I think it's good for both parties to have a set time range. This way neither party spends the entire day/night wondering if he'll call/should I call now. I always try to set a time range when arranging phone calls with dates.

By "fight" do you mean something similar to "argue" in the other thread? Because I didn't know tow truck had a back seat. -?-

Well what was I supposed to do. She freaked out that my car broke (I guess she saw it as a sign or something) and called off the date, even though there was a momish nes and a tow truck came in 10 mins to the middle of nowhere when they told me 3 hours MINIMUM. I could have gotten there with time to spare....

I wish they gave the guy an exact time to call!

The worst is when you call a cell and they don't answer. (And yet it would hurt if they called back.)

I once got a flat on the way to a date.
