Do you get mail you feel you need to/should hide from your spouse?

(excluding mail order gifts, etc that you want to be a surprise)

I only feel the need to hide something when I know I'm going to get in trouble...

I know I'm not married yet, but that's why I would hide mail too....

doesn't your spouse get suspicious when it's "late"?

Yikes. I sure hope people don't do this.

I don't think this has ever happened in our home, and I don't think it ever should.

Do you specifically "hide" it or does it just get dumped with the rest of the junk mail that came that day? I throw out junk mail when I take in the day's mail and my wife might not see all the credit card applications that re sent to her. I would not consider this "hiding" mail from her, though.
FYI
No, especially since my husband usually gets the mail. I only pick it up on rare occasions, and I'm sure he doesn't hide it as he usually just takes the stack and dumps on table for me to go through. (he has no interest in mail, the way I do.)

I just don't like when I get unrequested magazines that I have to throw away.

I will not throw away credit card offers to mh without him first opening it as it's not my mail. (It's good too, because we once got a check for $1.61 in what I thought was junk mail.

I don't hide mail either. I do throw away stuff I don't think he'd care about (such as those coupon mailers and credit card apps) and I might not specifically mention if a new magazine came or leave it around for him to see it (it's a prof magazine and he's not interested at all) but I don't actually hide things for the express purpose of him not seeing (except if a gift for him comes and I want to save it as a surprise.)

I don't have a spouse, but if I did and I was expecting mail I thought better she not see, I wouldn't be dumb enough to have it sent to the house...

Could you give an example of such mail? (aside from the example I've given of a surprise gift)
Spot

Nope, I pay the bills. He has no clue when any of the bills arrive, or are due.

I also don't leave the v's secret catalog out. I don't hide it per se, but I definitely don't leave it on the top of the pile.

I bring in all the mail in our house. And I don't think we even get that catalog.

You wouldn't tell your wife about a court summons? Or random nefarious activities? Would it be ok if she withheld similar information from you?
Kalashnikover_Rebbe
I wouldn't be in such a situation. All I said that hypothetically if I WAS I would be smart enough to ensure things that my wife shouldn't see don't get seen by her...
