b'shaim amroNo such thing in my book. If I'm walking somewhere and it turns out that I went the wrong way or I forgot to get something and have to walk an extra two blocks to get it, to me that's not a waste of calories. Anything that helps me burn more calories is good. HOWEVER, a better question is an activity that's strenuous and time-consuming but *doesn't* burn many calories, so it tires you out but does nothing for you in terms of weight loss.
