A number of books of mine are falling apart. The pages were glued together, the glue is drying off, and pages are falling out. Also the spine is falling part as well.... Any way to salvage the books?

You can have them professionally bound...

It probably would cost less to buy a new paperback...
FYI
I hand them to my husband and ask him to please fix it. But make sure you ask him at a time he can do it right away, otherwise you may never get it done. Also, it works better if you have the tape and scissors with you when you hand him the book. (do one at a time, so he doesn't flee in fright)

Assuming it's an inexpensive book and assuming it's not out of print.

exactly. the two books that are falling apart are out of print.

how do they get the pages to stick to the glue given the tiny surface area of the edge of the paper?

No I didn't. Sure I will comment, but first I need to read it smile.gif (IF i forget within the next hour, please just nudge me as I got distracted)

we don't have duct tape in my house, we just use the see-through stuff that we used when we moved and bought too much of.

You have a point there. Perhaps this tells too much about my book choices, but when someone says paperback I assume they mean a bestseller or trashy novel.

Have you checked out your local used bookstore?
