No, I'm not joking. Firstly, "all over the internet" has little, if nothing, to do with a member's banning. Secondly, why not just send a PM to the member, explain the spamming rules, and encourage them to join in other discussions?

(That's a rhetorical question. I know the answer - because it's easier to ban them.)

Edit: Btw, I'm not convinced this qualifies as spam. Sensationalism at its worst, yes indeed. But so is a lot of what is posted on this site, just with fewer exclamation points and not so colorful.
