For those who aren't lubavitch and are ok in general with fancy mezuzah cases...
is it appropriate to have put up a ceramic mezuzah case with a kid's name written on it,
or is it inappropriate because normally we write either Sh-ddai or a shi"n and it's not right to substitute a name, even if it's for cutesy purposes?

I don't like it personally but I don't think it's necessarily wrong.

(I do know a kid whose name starts with a shin who thought that the shin on the case stood for her name for the longest time. . .)
