Alongside my "Organic" question, has anyone ever tried holistic medicine as a means to cure, treat, or help reduce pain, etc. for any type of illness? These can include acupuncture, reflexology, trigger point therapy, etc.

Did it work? Is it a waste of time and money? Do you believe in them?

Emphatic yes to all of the above (minus the acupuncture).

I am not a big believer in holistic medication, however I have tried it with certain ailments, like my daughter's eczema and it totally cured her. I am trying it now as an alternative to medications for my hyperactive son and I hope it works.
I see a homeopathic dr.(my BIL) and he gives us remedies, and he obviously swears by this.
existwhere?

Yes, chiropractor.
It was amazing.
No.
It certainly helped me.

I went to a chiropractor a few times for back pain. I don't know if what he did helped or not, but I lean towards not....

I tried homeopathic drops for something (I don't remember what, but it was lying around someone's house so I tried it). I also don't remember them being particularly effective...

But I know many people who swear by acupuncture. One of these days I'll try it...

I certainly believe in herbal remedies and medicine and have taken them but there are a lot of quacks out there (not that many MDs aren't just as much quacks)

I've had acupuncture done numerous times over the past few years. I can't actually pin down that it helped, though... I still do it because it seems like it can't hurt and I figure it's better than drugging myself up for anything.

Have you heard of 'cupping' or 'bank-es'? I had that done by my acupuncturist for an awful chest cold/bronchitis. That was WAY COOL and I believe it helped.

I very strongly believe in stone and crystal therapies. Yes I have "halachically friendly" sources to back it up, but that is a whole other thread.
