I don't know if extra salt fell into the chickens, or if the person kashering them got salt-happy, but my chickens taste extra salty this month. Is there anything to do to get rid of the excess salt?

soak them in room temp/cold water for a while before cooking them.

cook potatoes underneath them. Potatoes absorb excess salt in soups, it might work in chicken too.

I don't usually cook with potatoes. They're basically banned in this house. Besides, I have a LOT of chicken in my freezer...
