Full Version: How Much Should a Beer Cost?

The SDJ and I went to shoot pool, and we rented a couple of Dutch beers, and the waitress brought them and asked for $12.

That seemed somewhat excessive to me. Soft drinks were only $2 each, so why should a beer be $6?* (I don't know if domestic beers were cheaper or not.)

* I remember when I was 17 or 18 and would go to a store and buy a six-pack for around $3.

Because that's a bulk discount.

Which country was that in?
Shuli
They make their money on the liquor, not the pool, but it sounds a little bit steep.

We but around $1.75 for a draught(big glasses). Foreign beer would set you back around $2-$3.5 depending where you go
