Do you wash your socks inside out, the opposite, or whatever way they come off your feet?
Do you pin them together before throwing them in the hamper or on the floor for your SO to place in the hamper?
When they're clean, do you match them up and fold them before putting them away or wait until the morning scramble to find a matching pair?
If you turn them inside out before washing them, do you turn them back to the opposite before matching and folding them or wait until you'll be wearing them to do so?
Do you wash your socks?

As kids we were taught to safety pin ours together. I did not continue that tradition, sadly with my own family .....

We wash all of ours right side out, and if anyone wears a pattern, I encourage them to use a wash bag (mesh). I "zivug" mine as I sort the laundry, but DD wears mismatched socks under her boots anyway.

I give DH all the black socks and he deems which are his and which are DS's.

No.
No.
Either I match them, my sitter matches them. Usually I will match mine, and kids and whichever of mh's I can figure out and stuff the rest of singles in the drawer and every once in a while, he opens up the drawer and makes matches.
No.
Yes.

I don't wash my own socks, but I usually throw them in the laundry as they are. They usually come back in pairs (if they went that way in the first place).....
existwhere?
About pairing socks: Is it possible that dryers eat socks? I think I've heard this theory more than once.

Washed the way they are worn - right side out.
Not pinned. I put mine in hamper but may have to pick up my SO's
I match and fold.

Yes.

(PS: Tights get put in a laundry bag so as not to be tangled in the wash and so that i can easily remove before transferring to dryer)

They get pulled off and dumped in the hamper and wm any which way. I used to pair them with the outer one inside out so that the pattern is visible from the outside till I realized that my husband doesnt check and ends up wearing one sock inside out so now I make sure they're all right side in before folding. Also I like being able to just pull a ready pair out of the drawer, so the unpaired socks go in a seperate box.
Very Lucky Guy
I wash them turned right side out.

I do not pin them together and have never heard of such a thing. They get put in the pile of clothing which best matches their care instructions (water temperature and color) and they are matched together after they are clean and dry.
