can a minyan be made up of only 10 men when 2 or 3 of them are totally not frum, meaning they don't know how to answer kedushah etc.?
can a minyan be made up of only 10 men when all are frum but 2 or 3 spend the whole time talking and not answering kedusha properly?

Reb Moshe paskened that you can include non frum people for a minyan of ten. I did this based upon a psak of a rov. But in my case everyone was answering. You should call a rov. (My dads comes from Elmira NY. They have no frum shul so once I made a mincha/maariv and shachris minyan in the one orthodox guy's house in the entire town. He even had a sefer Torah and I lained. One of my proudest life acomplishments.)

I think the rule is you need 6 people who are actually davening...
But for chazarras hashatz there should be 9 people listening or at least answering amen...

That's why I don't like to be shliach tzibur for a small minyan, becuase it is karov l'vadai that some people aren't paying attention....

But if you were the chazan they would be?

No, that's why I said I don't like to do it... (or in many Chabad shuls where everyone davens by themselves and you're lucky if you can even find 6 people holding by the same place)

why come to shul to daven if your not davening b'tzibur? Its my understanding that you could have a hundred people there, but if you don't have 6 davening and 9 listening and answering during repetition then its not a minyan...? No?
